Players assume the role of either a Black List or Global Risk operative, and compete in various modes including Free-for-All, Team Death Match and the exclusive stealth-action ghost mode. Cross Fire also includes a military ranking system, in-game friends lists, an integrated clan system, and deep character customization options.
It involves executing or preventing acts of terrorism through military conflict. People who have played Cross Fire could easily compare it to Counter-Strike, another online first-person shooter that involves terrorism/counter-terrorism that's still played even today. A lot of this game is perhaps inspired by Counter-Strike, from the themes to the weapons based on their IRL counterparts.
